Start with the job, then match the material to the printer, nozzle and print surface. A higher nozzle temperature alone does not establish compatibility.
Describe the service conditions
Record whether the part needs to be stiff or flexible, its expected heat exposure and the way it will be loaded. Compare the technical data for the exact filament or resin. A material family name is not a performance guarantee for a printed part.
Include preparation in your choice
A filament may need controlled drying or a specific surface. Resin requires its documented handling and post-curing process. Include these operations in your workspace and budget before choosing a machine.
