Where to find 3D print files and check them
A downloadable model still needs to fit your printer and your intended use. Check its scale, license, support requirements and file contents before slicing.
Choose a model, not only a picture
Inspect the description, required hardware and assembly instructions. Comments and makes may reveal assembly difficulties, but they do not guarantee success on your machine. For a multi-part project, list every file and non-printed component before starting.
Read the license for that design
Free downloads are not automatically licensed for commercial use. Check attribution, modification and resale permissions on the individual model. If you plan to sell physical prints, verify that this use is permitted; keep the license version and source link with the project.
Prepare your own machine instructions
Open geometry in your slicer and check units and dimensions. A 3MF project may carry another printer’s settings. Select your own machine, nozzle and material, then inspect the layer preview. Avoid running unknown G-code intended for different hardware.
