Manufacturer-described extrusion and monitoring updates
Identify a concrete limitation first, such as a maintenance task or a documented workflow problem. Price the full replacement setup. A newer feature list alone does not demonstrate time or money saved.
Are two Combo prices directly comparable?
Check AMS generation, accessories and supported functions first. Combo is a package label, not a guarantee that both offers contain equivalent equipment.
Collect both offers on the same day for the same US delivery address. Record the printer, AMS generation, required accessories, shipping and sales tax. Pick a task that matters to you, such as changing a nozzle, preparing a material or monitoring a job. Read the instructions for that task to understand the practical difference. Comparing printer-only prices can hide a substantial package difference.
Upgrading: start with the problem you want to solve
If you already own a P1S, list the interventions you would like to reduce and how frequently they occur. Bambu Lab describes new features on P2S, but we have no comparative measurements of failures, noise or time saved. We therefore do not assume the replacement will pay for itself. Keep the complete cost and your decision criteria in the buying checklist.
Bambu Lab P1S
256 × 256 × 256 mm
The same nominal volume as the A1, with an enclosure and a different motion system.
Check the precise AMS version, adapters and accessories included. Enclosure alone does not establish material suitability.
