How much space does it need?

The Neptune 4 is an open-frame FDM printer with a 225 × 225 × 265 mm nominal build volume per Elegoo's listing. Klipper firmware comes pre-installed out of the box, with a top speed advertised at 500 mm/s (250 mm/s recommended) and a maximum acceleration of 20,000 mm/s². This compact footprint suits first FDM projects, mid-size parts, and anyone who wants Klipper without flashing it themselves.
121-point (11 × 11) auto bed leveling removes most of the initial setup, and the dual-sided plate (PLA-specific and textured PEI) covers both early PLA prints and stickier materials like TPU.
Materials and setup
The nozzle heats up to 300°C, and Elegoo's listing shows compatibility with PLA, TPU, PETG, ABS, ASA, and nylon. The copper-titanium heat break is designed to reduce clogging even at higher speeds, and the dual-gear direct extruder, with a 5.2:1 reduction ratio, is advertised for consistent filament extrusion.
The chassis stays open: Elegoo recommends an enclosure for ABS and ASA, sold separately and not included by default. The advertised maximum bed temperature is 110°C at 25°C ambient, which is typical for this entry-level Klipper segment.
What the bundle includes or not
The box includes the base unit, gantry frame unit, spool holder arm, touch screen, and spiral cable per Elegoo's "What's In Box" list, which mentions additional items without detailing all of them. The exact contents, spare nozzle, tools, or extra plate, should be checked on the retailer's listing before buying.
This base version has neither Wi-Fi nor a built-in camera: connectivity is limited to USB and LAN per Elegoo, unlike the Plus and Max versions, which add Wi-Fi.
