How much space does it need?

Which projects is it for?
The Centauri Carbon is a 256 mm enclosed CoreXY FDM printer, with a chamber camera, power-loss recovery, and an automatic calibration system per Elegoo. Its hardened-steel nozzle and hotend listed up to 320°C make it a candidate for carbon-fiber-filled filaments, more demanding than plain PLA.
Auxiliary cooling and a bed up to 110°C, listed by the manufacturer, target regular functional parts rather than occasional decorative prints.
Materials and configuration
The manufacturer lists PLA, PETG, and carbon-fiber-reinforced filaments among compatible materials, with a hardened-steel nozzle built to resist the abrasion of these filled filaments. Exact compatibility still needs checking based on the specific filament and profile used.
The machine on its own stays single-color: any multicolor addition goes through the CANVAS package, sold separately per Elegoo.
What the bundle includes or not
The original Centauri Carbon should be distinguished from the newer Centauri Carbon 2: the two share a similar volume but not necessarily the same features per Elegoo. Check the exact model before comparing one listing with another.
The CANVAS package and its contents are not included with the machine alone; its exact compatibility and contents need checking directly on the chosen listing before purchase.
Before buying, compare the Centauri Carbon's spec sheet and the exact bundle contents listed by the retailer (nozzle, bed, multicolor accessories included or not) rather than relying only on the product photo. Warranty terms and after-sales support can also differ between the manufacturer's own store and a third-party retailer, worth checking before comparing two listings. Because the enclosure adds wiring, fans, and sometimes a camera module, it is also worth confirming what maintenance or replacement parts the manufacturer documents for those components before committing to heavy regular use.
