For the base K2, without CFS
Creality K2
An enclosed CoreXY FDM printer with a 260 × 260 × 260 mm nominal build volume, the entry point of Creality's K2 lineup, without an actively heated chamber or bundled CFS.
In short The Creality K2 is an enclosed filament (FDM) 3D printer with a 260 × 260 × 260 mm (10.2 × 10.2 × 10.2 in) build volume. Creality claims a 600 mm/s top speed, a 300 °C (572 °F) nozzle and a 100 °C (212 °F) bed; the printer measures 404 × 436 × 545 mm (15.9 × 17.2 × 21.5 in) and weighs 18.3 kg (40.3 lb).
Documentary analysis · Not personally tested
FDM · EnclosedWhy consider it?
Enclosed CoreXY chassis, a nozzle rated up to 300°C, a top speed advertised at 600 mm/s, and a filament sensor with an automatic cutter, at the entry price of the K2 lineup per Creality.
What to verify
No actively heated chamber (unlike the K2 Pro and K2 Plus), a frame that isn't fully metal, no Ethernet or AI nozzle camera: multicolor CFS remains a separate accessory to add.

How much space does it need?
The Creality K2 measures 404 × 436 × 545 mm (15.9 × 17.2 × 21.5 in) for a 260 × 260 × 260 mm (10.2 × 10.2 × 10.2 in) build volume: the dashed box is the printer, the solid cube the largest theoretical part, about 18% of the machine’s volume. Add room for the spool or multicolor unit, cables and ventilation.

Compare the Creality K2
Which projects is it for?
The K2 is the entry point of the K2 lineup: an enclosed CoreXY FDM printer with a 260 × 260 × 260 mm nominal build volume per Creality. It shares its chassis and CoreXY architecture with the K2 Pro and K2 Plus, but without an actively heated chamber or an AI nozzle camera, at an entry price for the lineup.
It suits anyone who wants to try the K2 format (advertised speed, filament sensor, automatic cutter) on common materials like PLA, PETG, or ABS, without immediately targeting the technical filaments reserved for the heated-chamber versions.
Materials and setup
Creality advertises a nozzle up to 300°C and a heated bed up to 100°C, with three FOC step-servo motors (X/Y axes and extrusion) shared with the K2 Pro. Advertised speed reaches up to 600 mm/s, with a 'typical' speed the manufacturer lists at 300 mm/s.
Without an actively heated chamber, the K2 stays limited to common materials: PLA, PETG, PET, ABS, and PLA-CF per Creality's listing. ASA and PPA-CF, which need a stable chamber temperature, remain reserved for the K2 Pro and K2 Plus.
What the bundle includes or not
The K2 is offered with or without CFS on the same product page: the 'without CFS' option is the standalone machine, while the Combo option adds one CFS unit. As with the rest of the lineup, up to 4 CFS units can connect for an advertised 16-color use, but extra units remain a separate purchase.
Compared with the K2 Pro and K2 Plus, the base K2 has a frame that isn't fully metal, 2.4G Wi-Fi only with no Ethernet, a 720p chamber camera with no AI nozzle camera, and 8GB of storage versus 32GB on the other two models. Check the retailer's exact configuration before comparing two listings.
Alternatives to compare
For an actively heated chamber and a second AI camera on the nozzle, the K2 Pro keeps a close build volume (300 × 300 × 300 mm) for technical materials like ABS or ASA. For an even larger volume, the K2 Plus reaches 350 × 350 × 350 mm with dual-band Wi-Fi.
The multicolor buying guide covers what adding a CFS system involves before choosing one, and the functional parts buying guide helps check whether an enclosed, unheated chassis fits your use case.
