Which projects is it for?
The Saturn 4 is an MSLA resin printer with a 10-inch monochrome 12K screen and a 218.88 × 122.88 × 220 mm build volume per Elegoo. This larger format than the Mars line suits batches of figurines, mid-size parts, and taller vertical prints thanks to the 220 mm of headroom.
One-click automatic leveling and a pre-print self-check, advertised by Elegoo, keep setup simple despite the larger plate.
Materials and setup
The printer runs compatible 405 nm UV resins, each with its own profile and post-processing steps per Elegoo. The COB light source paired with a Fresnel collimating lens aims for 92% light uniformity advertised across the entire build area.
The dual-spout resin tank makes pouring and draining easier per Elegoo, but Elegoo specifies that the Saturn 4 is not compatible with flexible build plates, which risk throwing off automatic detection and damaging the LCD screen.
What the bundle includes or not
The box includes the printer, build plate, resin tank, a USB drive, a mask, and gloves per Elegoo's "What's In Box" list, with further items not detailed, 6 and up in total. The exact contents should be checked on the retailer's listing before buying.
The flip-up cover makes the build plate easier to access, but the printer has neither Wi-Fi nor a built-in monitoring camera per the spec sheet.
Alternatives to compare
For a faster print speed on the same screen format, the Saturn 4 Ultra adds tilt-release technology and an AI camera. For a tighter budget on a smaller plate, the Mars 5 remains an entry-level option.
The resin printer buying guide and the resin materials guide help prepare post-processing for this plate size.
