Bed Adhesion: Surfaces, Cleaning, and Parts Popping Loose

A part that lifts at one corner, or comes clean off the plate halfway through a print, gets old fast. Before switching plates or coating the bed in adhesive, it is worth checking cleaning, temperature, and first-layer setup in order, since those explain most cases.

The short answer

Adhesion depends first on how clean the surface is (finger grease, leftover residue from a previous material) before it depends on the plate's coating itself.
