The CR-M4 is an open-frame FDM printer with a 450 × 450 × 470 mm nominal build volume per Creality, a footprint built for bulky models printed as a single piece or for batch runs on one plate, with little post-processing.
Two CNC-machined hardened-steel linear rails on the Y axis aim for stable transmission despite the weight and inertia of a bed this size, with 25-point automatic CR Touch leveling and Z-offset advertised at 0.05 mm precision.
Materials and configuration
Creality advertises compatibility with PLA, PA (nylon), heat-resistant ABS, PLA-wood, PLA-CF, flexible TPU, and PETG, with a nozzle heating up to 300°C thanks to a 50 W heating cartridge.
The swappable high-flow 0.6/0.8 mm nozzle increases extrusion flow for large parts, a useful factor for cutting print time on a volume this size.
What the bundle includes or not
The 470 × 470 mm heated bed reaches 60°C in an advertised 160 seconds per Creality, an important factor for the first layer on a surface this large. The CR-M4 still stays open-frame by default.
An 'Enclosure Plus' (1000 × 800 × 1000 mm) is offered as a separate accessory, with insulation and flame-retardant materials, for anyone who wants to stabilize printing of ABS or other cooling-sensitive materials. Check the retailer's listing precisely to see whether your offer includes it.
Alternatives to compare
For a slightly more compact, more accessible open frame, the Ender-5 Max reaches 400 × 400 × 400 mm. For an enclosed chassis at a more modest volume, the K2 Plus adds a heated chamber on 350 × 350 × 350 mm.
