Why consider it?

An Amber Screen with a claimed 566:1 contrast ratio, a C5 ball-screw Z axis and assisted preparation. Open Material mode enables settings for third-party resins.

What to verify

The Pulsing Release Module, heated tank and curing station depend on the selected bundle. Z-axis positioning figures are not finished-part accuracy.

Which projects fit?

The Reflex RS Turbo targets miniatures, detailed prototypes and batches of small parts within a 222 × 122 × 228 mm build volume. Its appeal is the combination of a high-contrast display and assisted print preparation. Results still depend on the model, support placement and resin rather than the machine specification alone.

HeyGears lists 29.7 µm pixels and layer heights from 30 to 100 µm. The advertised Z-axis positioning specification describes the motion system. It should not be read as a guaranteed tolerance across every dimension of a finished print.

Selecting resin

The printer uses a 405 nm light source. HeyGears resins have an associated profile ecosystem, while Open Material mode provides adjustable settings for other compatible formulations. This requires validation: the option does not mean that any bottle will work immediately without calibration. Start with a small test before preparing a full batch.

When comparing workflows, check which profiles are available for your intended use, how easily resin can be sourced and what post-processing it requires. A material aimed at detailed miniatures does not automatically meet the same requirements as one intended for functional prototypes.

Printer and accessories

The standard printer includes its resin tank and build plate. The Pulsing Release Module and washing or curing equipment are accessories or parts of specific bundles. A heated tank also needs to be confirmed in the configuration you select. Match each offer to its actual contents before comparing it with another retailer.

Allow space to open the cover, remove the plate and handle printed parts afterward. USB and WiFi offer different file transfer options depending on your workspace. Check any resin bottles shown in a promotional image against the selected bundle rather than assuming they come with the base printer.

What to compare

The Reflex RS provides a reference for the earlier version's features. The GK3 Pro is another fine-detail option with a different light source. Compare the complete setup, profile availability and replacement consumables instead of relying on display resolution alone.

Frequently asked questions

Is the curing station included?

Only when the selected bundle explicitly includes it. The printer alone does not replace post-processing equipment.

Can I adjust settings for third-party resin?

HeyGears provides Open Material mode. Confirm formulation compatibility and calibrate suitable settings.

Is Z-axis positioning accuracy the same as part accuracy?

No. A mechanical positioning specification does not guarantee the same tolerance on every dimension of a printed part.
